I'm unable to access S&P Capital IQ via Chrome

We may need to configure Chrome to explicitly allow "popups and redirects" for the S&P Global platform hosting CIQ Pro. When we've seen login failures, it's been due to a browser silently blocking the sequence of popups and redirects this (quite complex) website uses.

  1. In Chrome, at the top right, click the three vertical dots to open the menu and select Settings.
  2. Click "Privacy and security" and then "Site Settings".
  3. Click "Pop-ups and redirects".
  4. Under "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects," look for an existing entry like [https://spglobal.com...]https://spglobal.com...
  5. If the site isn't listed, next to "Allowed to send pop-ups or use redirects," click "Add".
  6. Enter the site's web address in the format below (note the use of square brackets and the asterisk followed by a period then closing square bracket) - if you don't format this right, Chrome won't display the blue "Add" button)
    https://[*.]spglobal.com
  7. Then click Add.
  8. Restart Chrome and retry the Library link for Capital IQ SSO https://library.london.edu/CIQsso
